I can’t say enough good things about Sierra Meadows, it has given my family the peace we needed. If I could nominate Jill at Sierra Meadows for an award, it would be Lifesaver of the YEAR. Her strength and wisdom helped to put my my mind and soul to rest along with God. There is still work to be done, however , this facility has the resources to continue this work. In a world where there really isn’t much help for mental health, this place is our saving grace. And it’s in my own “backyard.” THANK YOU to ALL the staff at Sierra Meadows for everything you do for the patients and families.

Sierra Meadows is the best behavioral health treatment facility in the valley. They are able to provide all levels of care. The inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities are staffed by licensed professionals with years of experience. The staff here connect with and genuinely care about each person in their program. We are lucky to have this resource right here in Fresno County.

After walking through many years of mental health struggles with my dad, we were connected to Sierra Meadows. Many other facilities were either emergency ‘band-aids’ (which I recognize have a need), or they treated their patients like less-than-human. Other places were out-of-town and/or incredibly expensive. When we were connected Sierra Meadows, the difference was obvious. The staff not only cared for my dad, but for us family members, as well. The home was lovely, and it was so nice to be able to have regular visits with my dad. We were included in therapy sessions. The therapists CARED, but also were willing to speak hard truths. The office staff went above and beyond helping with what we needed as family members. Although my dad had to ultimately put in the hard work to heal, their services were instrumental in giving us our beloved dad back. There is so much more that I could share, but in short, I will forever be an advocate for Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health.

I’ve been in therapy for years with not much improvement, but when I started attending Seirra meadows a year ago I finally saw some progress in my life. Every staff member there was amazing and I will never forget them. The clients are extremely supportive as well. I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to attend and finally get my life going. I now know how to handle anything that comes my way. A big thank you to every staff member & client I met! - Brenna A

My first contact with Sierra Medows Behavioral Health was with Shaun. He was more than great. He took the time to take and return my calls for over a week and answered any and all questions that I had. When I met him face to face he was an overall cool and understanding guy. My next encounter was with Emily. She proceeded to complete my wife's intake. She was outstanding. The level of care, support and compassion she gave to my wife was absolutely amazing. Both Shaun and Emily were the reason why I chose this place for my wife. Words cant begin to explain my appreciation for these two individuals. Thank you both.

Opioid overdose is a major issue, causing over 100,000 deaths in the US in just one year, a 28.5% jump from before. Misusing opioids, especially with other drugs, can lead to fatal overdoses. However, this can be prevented by learning about naloxone and other treatment options.

Make sure to use medications only as directed, don't mix them with other substances, and keep them stored safely. If someone overdoses, they might look pale, limp, have blue lips or nails, vomit, be hard to wake up, or breathe slowly.

If you see someone overdosing, immediately call for emergency help and use naloxone if you have it. Staying informed and ready can save lives.
